Teacher Assistant Volunteering Program


This is a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys working with children and teens and who possess strong communication, leadership and supervisory skills. Learn while helping others and experience popular and interactive school programs first-hand. There is an average of 30 attendants per classroom.

What kind of skills do I need?
Experience of working with children is certainly an asset but not essential. However, a love for children, plenty of patience and understanding, and enthusiasm is very important.
You do not need formal teaching qualifications or formal teacher training. You do however need a good grasp of the Spanish language and plenty of enthusiasm and confidence.
Your role as a volunteer
You will be volunteering in a classroom environment, which may involve formal teaching, conversation class, singing songs and playing games, helping to the teachers to put order in class, check homework, exams, etc.
Working hours
4-5 hours/day - 5 days a week (volunteers are reminded to remain flexible)
