Why choose Awaiting Angels for your adventure in service?
Quality standards and experience
At AA we are committed to voluntarism since 2000 and we are widely considered to be one of the founders of the local volunteerism movement in Peru. Every year our organization places over 250 volunteers into our program! We welcome independent volunteers and volunteer groups as well.
Since 2003 we have set quality standards in our enrollment, placement and monitoring processes and we understand that quality means permanent improvement. We pay attention to every detail. Our team consists of human and social development professionals with a deep understanding in cross-cultural learning.
Affordability
One of our main principles when we decided to promote volunteerism as a way to bring social change and human development was to make volunteer opportunities available and accessible to everyone. A just low cost does not mean bad quality. Not at least for us. Nowadays we are very proud to say that some renowned international volunteer placement organizations have partnered us and send volunteers through Awaiting Angels.
Our latest commitment is to promote local initiatives through Internet, so international volunteers will have opportunities to choose between an international company and a local based organization.
Support
At AA the support we give to our volunteers is real and not merely a written statement. From the moment you pay your inscription fee at AA you will have support 24/7 until the day you finish your volunteer project. You will receive a comprehensive and detailed information packet with everything you need to know about your adventure in service. You will also be assigned an AA coordinator who will be in contact with you until you go and throughout your project. Your coordinator will be available for helping you throughout your volunteer time to ensure your experience surpass your expectations.
Ethics and Social responsability
We carry in our hearts the high principles of volunteerism: respect, tolerance, solidarity and love. We understand that volunteer involvement strengthens communities and people promoting social change and human development by identifying and responding to important community needs. At the end the benefits are reciprocal and positive for everyone.
